Grafiken nicht am richtigen Platz Einstellungen

Also bei SelfHTML stand, dass das, was ich gemacht hab die Grafik über bzw. unter den Text stellen lässt. Aber weil dort kein Text ist funktioniert das net richtig.

Das Problem ist nicht das rowspan, sondern dass die Bilder direkt untereinander angezeigt werden und nicht, wie ich will, das erste ganz oben, das zweite in der Mitte, und das dritte ganz unten
Wie mach ich das richtig?Alles als Bild oder Hintergrundbild geht nicht, weil die Höhe nicht vorgegeben ist.

Nicht umsonst schreibt das W3C in der CSS2-Spec:

Note. CSS gives so much power to the "class" attribute, that authors could conceivably design their own "document language" based on elements with almost no associated presentation (such as DIV and SPAN in HTML) and assigning style information through the "class" attribute. Authors should avoid this practice since the structural elements of a document language often have recognized and accepted meanings and author-defined classes may not.
